Great post-rock from this Finnish band. While still adhering to the cathartic protocol of loud / quiet dynamics, this LP also explores a neo-classical minimalism, not unlike some aspects of Mono. But, what I really love is the darkly lit drones that flicker in and out of the songs like spectral daydreams.

Fascinating mix of classical music and Post Metal, amazing how well tremolo picking and string instruments work together. There is a definite Viking Metal feel here too, you can feel a slight Enslaved influence underlying their music. Beauty and power.....
